Diving in Catalina Island

Diving in the Dominican Republic is an unforgettable experience. Paradise is not only on the surface, but under the sea of Catalina Island you can dive to discover the wonders of the Caribbean.

Located in the southeast of the Dominican Republic, a few kilometers from La Romana, Catalina Island is the second largest island only behind Saona Island. It has 15 square kilometers of surface, with virgin beaches of white sand surrounded by palm groves, a true natural paradise!

Of course, your visit to the island is not only about getting to know it on the surface, but you can also dive into its crystal clear waters to learn about the marine flora and fauna of the Caribbean Sea. The island and its waters are included in the Parque Nacional del Este and, being practically uninhabited, you will be able to live an experience of total relaxation in completely virgin natural landscapes. Here you can enjoy activities such as snorkeling, diving or fishing.

On the island, The Wall and The Aquarium are two of the best places to dive in the Dominican Republic. Very different from each other, they have been recognized worldwide by all the people who have dived in their waters.

At The Wall you can enjoy a 100-meter wall that plunges into the deepest part of the Caribbean Sea. Its two steps, at 25 and 40 meters, are the ones you will be able to visit in an immersion that is done gradually.

The Aquarium seems a name of something artificial, but this natural place is in the open sea and seems to be made by the hand of man. This aquarium is the home of the corals, which in its surroundings houses a large amount of fauna of thousands of colorful fish such as lion fish, frog fish or seahorses.

The waters of Catalina Island are waiting for you!

Why can't you miss this activity?

People who are already experienced in diving will know the importance of being submerged in each trip. And it is that each sea is a world, and the Caribbean cannot be left on your list of places to dive.
